07 de Junio del 2017.- En esta pasada contienda electoral el Ex Presidente Municipal y líder panista, Librado Casas Ledezma hace historia al salir electo como Diputado Local con un total de once mil 552 votos contra un total de 6 mil 379 votos que sacó su contrincante Priísta Ángela Ramírez Robles en el distrito tercero que abarca Ruiz – El Nayar.
